Linda Evangelista

I thought I'd spice the blog up a bit by posting a mini-biography on a model you've probably heard of called Linda Evangelista. I thought of her for my blog because her birthday was last week (May 10th 1965). She's Canadian. -eh? Joking =]

Anywayyy here's her story:

-At the age of 18 she decided she wanted to be a model and entered the "Miss Teen Niagra" beauty contest. She lost, but she was discovered by an agent. -Haha the same goes for American Idol, its always the losers who get famous.

-She is one of the few "true supermodels", one of five.

Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington were called "the trinity"- these were the three supermodels of the 90's, and they pushed for higher wages for models.

-Her famous qoute is:

"We don't get out of bed

for less than $10,000 a day"

-She was on more than 30 Vogue covers.

-She was called the chameleon for constantly changing her hair. She's changed her hair dramatically at least 12 times (wow, her hair stylist must be pretty happy).

More things:

-She's 5'9.5"

-She (naturally) has brown hair

-She has blue-green eyes

-She has one son (his father is unknown, but is bleieved to be a NYC architect)

-She is now 43
